Fund Frenzy Is Here!
The Championship Round of PCCF’s 40th Anniversary Match Madness
March has arrived, and that means it’s time for Fund Frenzy, the most exciting part of the Putnam County Community Foundation’s (PCCF) Share the Dream: Match Madness 2025–2026 program!
As PCCF celebrates 40 years of growing generosity, Fund Frenzy brings a little friendly competition to endowment building. From March 1-31, eight participating organizations will face off in a bracket-style showdown to earn bonus dollars for their endowment funds, and ultimate bragging rights.
Meet the Top 8 Seeds
Based on total dollars raised during Match Madness so far, the following endowments have advanced to Fund Frenzy:
#1 – First Baptist Capital Improvement Endowment
#2 – Putnam County YMCA Endowment
#3 – Beyond Homeless Incorporated Endowment
#4 – Heritage Preservation Society Endowment
#5 – Putnam County Fairgrounds Endowment
#6 – Greencastle Christian Church Endowment
#7 – Family Support Services Endowment Fund
#8 – Putnam County Library Endowment Fund
These eight funds now move into head-to-head weekly matchups throughout March.
How Fund Frenzy Works
The top eight participating endowments have been seeded based on total dollars raised during Match Madness so far. Now, they’ll compete head-to-head in weekly rounds throughout March.
Each week:
- Organizations go up against a bracket opponent
- The winner is determined by the number of new gifts received that week
- The organization with more new gifts advances to the next round
- The final two organizations will compete in the Championship Round during the last week of March.
Prizes include:
Champion – $3,000
Runner-Up – $2,000
Third & Fourth Place – $1,000 each
That’s up to $7,000 in bonus dollars on the line in addition to the proportional match from the $80,000 campaign pool.
Why It Matters
Fund Frenzy isn’t just about competition; it’s about community momentum.
Every gift of $25 or more:
- Strengthens a local nonprofit’s long-term sustainability
- Qualifies for proportional matching dollars
- Helps organizations advance in the bracket
Small gifts can make a big difference, especially in a head-to-head matchup. One extra donor could tip the scales.
A Celebration of 40 Years
This special anniversary edition of Match Madness serves as PCCF’s endowment-building program for both 2025 and 2026, making Fund Frenzy a one-time opportunity to be part of something historic.
For 40 years, PCCF has helped donors invest in the future of Putnam County. Fund Frenzy is a fun, energetic way to honor that legacy while building strong endowments that will support local causes for generations to come.
Don’t Wait — The Clock Is Ticking! Fund Frenzy runs March 1–31, and every week counts. Follow the bracket updates on social media. Cheer on your favorite endowment. Make your gift. Share the excitement.
Let’s finish Match Madness strong and make PCCF’s 40th anniversary year a slam dunk for our entire community.
