The Putnam County Community Foundation marked its 40th anniversary with an unforgettable evening celebrating generosity, community pride, and the people who make Putnam County stronger. The Ruby Anniversary Celebration brought together donors, partners, volunteers, and friends to honor four decades of impact and look ahead with excitement to the future with the theme, “There’s no place like home.”

Inspired by the ruby slippers from The Wizard of Oz, this theme reflects what we’ve known all along: Putnam County is home. It’s where generosity takes root. It’s where neighbors care. It’s where we all make a difference – together.

PCCF proudly presented the Ruby Anniversary Awards to three outstanding community leaders, each exemplifying the spirit of service that defines our county.

Volunteer Leadership Award: Gwen Morris

Young Philanthropist Award: Alexandra Chamberlain

Nonprofit Professional Award: Elizabeth Butts

A highlight of the evening was the announcement of the 2025 Ruby Anniversary Grants. Four remarkable finalists—Beyond Homeless, Inc., Family Support Services of West Central Indiana, Greencastle Civic League, and Putnam County CERT—were each awarded $5,000 in support of their missions.

Isaiah 1:17 House was announced as the recipient of the $20,000 Ruby Anniversary Grant winner.

Guests also celebrated longtime donors, volunteers, staff and executive directors. The evening was a joyful tribute to what Putnam County has built together and an inspiring kickoff to the next 40 years of philanthropy, partnership, and possibility.

Thanks to our event sponsors for making the evening possible and to our 2025 Community Partners for their continued support!
