Sharing Collaborative Efforts to Tackle Mental Health and Substance Use
The Putnam County Community Foundation is excited to host a Community Impact Symposium to discuss how communities can work together to make an impact on complex social issues. Speakers will provide a framework for approaching collaborative solutions to community issues, highlight projects happening around the state to address mental health and substance use needs, and share resources to guide new projects to success.

The Prindle Institute is located a mile and a half from the DePauw University campus in the Nature Park on the southwest side of Greencastle. You may reach the Institute to the southeast side of the Nature Park where you may park close to the Institute and walk up the footpath to the building entrance. Limited accessible parking is available at the Institute.
Meet the Speakers
Jack Hess is the co-founder and President of CivicLab, a nonprofit institute dedicated to advancing the practice of civic collaboration based in Columbus, Indiana. CivicLab teaches collaborative community teams how to better approach complex social problems by redesigning the way they work together. Since its inception in 2012, it has partnered with and served more than 350 communities and has trained more than 18,000 leaders and community stakeholders.
Lorra Archibald is the Executive Director of Healthy Communities of Clinton County Coalition, a nonprofit committed to reducing the risk factors that lead to chronic disease by making permanent changes through policy, systems and environmental changes. Kathy Martin is the Director of Operations for Healthy Communities.
Mental Health Matters is a community-wide initiative created to address challenges and improve the mental health system for the wellbeing of youth and adults in Bartholomew County. Cheryl Buffo is the Community Programs Lead and Vachel Hudson is the Project Manager for Mental Health Matters.
Keylee Wright is the Executive Director of the Kendrick Foundation, a foundation established in 2001 as a vehicle to assist health-related programs benefiting residents of Morgan County. Nikki Jo McCrady is the Program Manager.
