Evolving Our Brand

Putnam County residents are humble, hardworking, and honest. It’s an undeniable truth that shapes our community. We have big dreams for the future, and we’re committed to bringing them to life, together.

The Putnam County Community Foundation supports those aspirations by creating opportunities for our community members to generously contribute their time, talent, and treasure.

It’s important that we note that this isn’t a “rebrand.”

You see, our brand is the sum total of every experience and interaction someone has with us.

With that in mind, our brand is strong.

It’s authentic.

It’s trustworthy.

It’s welcoming.

So we don’t need to “rebrand.”

Instead, we’re evolving the way we present our brand, through visuals and language.

In 2026, we’re introducing a bold new logo and unveiling a new tagline. These forward-facing brand elements will be supported by a comprehensive system of graphics, wording and marketing materials that bring the brand to life.

Why change?

As we celebrate our 40th anniversary, we have a unique opportunity to update our brand to more clearly, consistently and concisely share our story.

We seek to help unify our county by updating our branding to rally around what makes Putnam County, and its residents, unique!

What, exactly, is changing?

Our new tagline (known as our “brand platform”) is supported by a powerful brand manifesto, expanding on our vision and purpose.

We have a new logo and visual identity assets, including colors and typography.

We have compelling values and guiding principles that embody the spirit and culture of Putnam County Community Foundation.

We are developing marketing materials, including a new website and brand video.

What is not changing?

We are not changing any of our scholarships or grantmaking opportunities. Students and grantees should expect business as usual for all scholarships and grants.

We are not changing the benefits we offer our donors. We will always honor their donor intent.

We are not detaching from our county’s history; rather, we are further embracing it with these new brand elements.

We exist to uplift our community. Our commitment to our donors, grantees, and community members endures.

Who was involved?

This work was guided by our “Brand Champions,” a group of 12 PCCF stakeholders, including past and current volunteers, grantees, Community Partners and more.

Our board of directors oversaw and approved these updates.

The work was developed in collaboration with a Fort Wayne, IN-based boutique agency with expertise in philanthropic organizations.

To those who call Putnam County home, and the organizations that uplift them, thank you for being part of our story. Together, we look forward to all that’s ahead, and we get there by giving back to the place we call home.

Look Forward. Give Back.
