10:30 AM: Session 1 – Strategic Charitable Gift Planning: Maximizing Tax Benefits and Client Philanthropy

Presented by Sharon Kampner, this 1-hour CE program equips professional advisors with strategies to integrate charitable gift planning into estate and financial planning. Topics include maximizing tax deductions, aligning charitable goals with client objectives, and adapting to recent legislative changes. Participants will explore an eight-piece framework for creating charitable giving models and learn to effectively deploy various giving strategies to support client philanthropy.

12:00 PM: Session 2 – Maximizing Philanthropy: Leveraging Donor Advised Funds in Charitable Planning

Presented by James L. Ross, this 1-hour CE program provides professional advisors with a deep dive into donor advised funds (DAFs) as a charitable planning tool. Participants will learn to identify suitable clients, initiate giving discussions, and compare DAFs with other vehicles like private foundations. The session covers tax benefits, types of DAFs, and potential regulatory changes, along with real-world case studies demonstrating the advantages of partnering with community foundations.
