The Putnam County Community Foundation depends upon the work of effective, mission-driven nonprofits making a positive impact in our community. The following programs and services are available to our nonprofit partners serving Putnam County.
Community Grants are awarded on a competitive basis. The Community Foundation has awarded nearly $3.2 million through the Community Grants program. Click here to find additional information about our grants program.
Capacity Building Grants assist nonprofits with up to 50% of the cost of a consultant to assist with long-range planning, staff and board training, communications, and marketing. Applications are accepted year-round and are available on our website.
The Nonprofit Learning Series provides high-quality, convenient, inexpensive workshops and networking opportunities to develop the knowledge and skills of current and future community leaders. Click here to read more about upcoming workshops.

Share the Dream is a program to build a nonprofit’s endowment and win grants for the organization. Nonprofits receive publicity, education and support for their fundraising efforts, recognition for their donors, and matching grant support.
Endowment Builder Grants offer matching grants to help nonprofits increase their sustainability by building their endowments at the Community Foundation.
Planned Giving Partnership Services are available to charitable organizations interested in working with donors to establish planned gifts for the benefit of the organization. The Community Foundation works with participating organizations and provides a variety of resources including consultation, training, access to planned giving software, marketing materials, and marketing support.
Charitable Gift Annuity Administration is offered by the Community Foundation for nonprofit endowments. Charitable gift annuities pay income to a nonprofit’s donors for life and support the charity’s endowment in the future.
The Gifts of Grain Program makes it easy for a nonprofit’s donors to make gifts of grain to benefit the charity’s endowment
