In October, the Putnam County Community Foundation (PCCF) offered an endowment building opportunity for 12 of its component funds which are working toward endowment status. Three of those funds successfully reached their fundraising goals during Share the Dream with the added incentive of available matching funding.
The three newly endowed funds are the Joyce G. Christiansen Scholarship, the J.R. and Ginger Scott Scholarship for Aviation, and the Aiden Beadles Community Endowment.
“The Putnam County Community Foundation is committed to growing funds today that will continue to benefit our community for generations to come,” said PCCF Executive Director, Neysa Meyer. “Endowments like those which participated in the Share the Dream program will make an impact in Putnam County in perpetuity.”
Other qualifying funds which met the minimum fundraising requirements of the program include the Cloverdale Community Dollars for Scholars – John J. Whitaker Music Scholarship, the Putnam County Knights of Columbus Scholarship, the Tri Kappa Scholarship, and the Timothy E. Schroer Memorial Scholarship. Collectively, these seven qualifying funds raised over $11,000 for the Share the Dream program and received a portion of a $30,000 endowment-building grant.
