Purpose of Fund
The purpose of the Fund shall be to provide educational financial support to at least one (1) and no more than five (5) student(s), pursuing a degree in Agriculture at Murray State University. An advisory committee designated by the School of Agriculture at Murray State University will nominate scholarship recipients, and inform the Community Foundation of nominees by April 1 of each year.
History of Fund
The Mary Murphey Nall Agricultural Scholarship was started by Mr. and Mrs. George Murphey of Greencastle, Indiana in honor of George’s late sister. Murphey and his family were originally from the Graves County, Kentucky. Eligible recipients are Graves County residents or Mayfield High School graduates who are undergraduate students at Murray State University seeking a Bachelor’s of Science in Agriculture
