Purpose of Fund
The Fund provides a source of financial support for the activities, facilities and programs of the nursing staff at the Putnam County Hospital. Once the fund balance reaches $12,000, then this non-endowed fund shall become an endowment and administered as such. Each year a committee of nursing staff will meet to determine the best use of the money in the fund.
History of Fund
Established in 2009, the Putnam County Hospital Nurse’s Fund honors nurses at the Putnam County Hospital for dedicated service. The fund will support the work of the nurses through capital improvements and educational opportunities. This fund gives patients, family members, staff and others in the community a way to show support and appreciation for the care provided by nurses. “This fund will strengthen the staff’s education and work support,” said Rita Coulter, RN, a fund founder.
