Purpose of Fund
To support the underprivileged children in Putnam County, Indiana as identified and recommended by the Board of Directors of the Mary Allison Children’s Home Trust, Inc.

History
The Mary Allison Children’s Trust was established in 1896 and continues today to support the children of Putnam County, Indiana. In 1912, a house was purchased by the Board of Directors to serve as a home for of many children. In 1993, this home was sold due to the declining number of residents.

Today, the Mary Allison Children’s Trust maintains money in unrestricted funds at each of the nine elementary schools of Putnam County. These funds are available to the school counselor to assist needy children when all other resources have been exhausted. Funds have been used to purchase eye glasses, medication, school books, school supplies, hearing aids, and shoes.
