Purpose of Fund
The primary purpose of the Fund shall be to beautify the north side of Veterans Memorial Highway by creating a garden recognizing and memorializing individual veterans, provided that such programs and contributions are consistent with the exempt purposes and status of the Foundation.
History of Fund
The Veterans Memorial Highway Veterans Tree Project was established to honor veterans that have served in the United States military to maintain freedom for all. Planting a tree to honor a veteran is one way for a sponsor to say thank you for the sacrifices made by each veteran.
It is the intention of the Greencastle Department of Public Works and our community volunteers to create beautiful scenery along the city’s portion of veterans Memorial Highway. Trees and landscape will be maintained by the Greencastle Department of Public Works and our volunteers. |
