Eric and June

Year Founded
2013

Founder
Eric Wolfe and June Javens-Wolfe

Purpose of Fund
The primary purpose of the Fund shall be to provide financial support to charitable community projects and local charities as suggested by the Founding Contributors and approved by the Board of Directors of the Foundation.

History of Fund
Eric and June graduated from DePauw University in 2004. Eric is a Realtor at F.C. Tucker/Schneider Realty and as well as the Assistant Director of Student Life at DePauw University. June Javens-Wolfe has her doctoral degree in microbiology and currently teaches at Indiana University. Both serve on a variety of nonprofit boards in Putnam County.

Eric and June established the Wolfe Family Endowment, a donor-advised fund, in order to bring their family together to decide which charity to support each year. They claim that the endowment will be a vehicle to “teach the next generation about the importance and responsibility of giving back to the community”. The couple plans to support projects at their church, programs that help people in need, and economic development projects focusing on the downtown square and historic properties in Greencastle. The couple awarded the first grant from the Endowment to support the Building Bridges Out of Poverty program.
