2010

Founder
James D. Moore

Purpose of Fund
The primary purpose of the Fund shall be to provide financial support to charitable projects and agencies as suggested by the Fund Steward, and approved by the Foundation Board of Directors (hereinafter referred to as the "Board") provided that such programs and contributions are consistent with the exempt purposes and status of the Foundation.   Should the designated Fund Steward no longer be willing or able to advise the fund, the Founding Contributor provides further instruction in Attachment A.

History of Fund
Before their passing, Harry and Peggy Moore were deeply involved in civic service. With the establishment of this endowment, memory of their service will live on.  Harry was a Rotarian, a founding member and director of the United Way of Putnam County, a Putnam County Commissioner, and an honorary board member of the Putnam County Community Foundation.  Peggy was the former owner of Atlas Linen Supply, and helped operate Home Laundry and Cleaners along with her husband.  Their sons, James and Richard, established the endowment in their memory.
