Purpose of Fund
The primary purpose of the fund shall be to provide financial support to Cloverdale Community Dollars for Scholars.

History of Fund
Charles and his wife Lillian established the Whitaker Funeral Home in 1947. As a couple, they deeply valued education and vowed to send each of their three children to college. Charles Whitaker served in World War II in the medical corps in the US Navy Reserve. Charles also served on the Putnam County Hospital Board of Trustees for 30 years. Lillian Whitaker was a member and secretary of the Board of Trustees of the Cloverdale Community School Corporation for 26 and a half years.
